A “phygital” event in celebration of the year of the ox, Mart in Hong Kong 2021 was the first online Chinese New Year mart to be held and was held over the holidays including Valentine’s Day and the Lantern Festival.
Online Concept Store
In order to act on social distancing, an online store was set up selling festive products. Over 300 festive gifts and delicacies were presented by 70 plus popular local brands, many are offered at special prices on the online store. There were 6 special crossover products made, a perfect fuse of traditional Chinese brands and new trendy brands. Customers can shop for HK-style festive gifts and delicacies at home, enjoying a one-stop shopping experience.
An online mini-game, Receive the Blessing, was set up for the public to win vouchers to be used at the online store. Some lucky winners would also be able to win a gift bag. This game was played over 80k times.
Offline Brick and Mortar Store
This offline store was held at PMQ, customers are able to see the products from the online concept store in real life. Customers could also pick up their online orders at this offline store. Special booths such as fortune-telling booths were also set up for customers to get into the festive spirit.
