Museums in Hong Kong were closed during the pandemic, therefore a series of events were held to fit “the new normal”. Online virtual tours were held such as “A Not-To-Be-Missed Railway Journey” Online Guided Tour, “Top 3 Mysterious Places on the Fireboat” Online Guided Tour, and “Becoming an Astronomer in 10 Minutes” Online Guided Tour. We have used a new technology, 3D Vista, for the Virtual Tours this time, which enabled us to insert many different interactive elements to enhance attractiveness and audience engagement. Three live events were also organized for real-time interactions between the curators and the audience. The event had a 100% satisfaction rate with high engagement rates. More virtual tours are also being launched after the positive feedbacks, allowing people to continue to visit museums during the pandemic.
